Is the NATIONAL ELECTIONS COMMISSION (NEC) currently running a recruitment program for the 2023 elections?

Our iVerify team has fact-checked this content and found it to be fake.

How did we arrive at this conclusion? We reviewed the website of the National Elections Commission and did not see a vacancy notice published for recruitment of 50 new staffers.

A further review of the Commission’s Facebook page shows no “50 jobs vacancy”

As part of the verification process, we carefully analyzed the URL (Uniform Resource Locators) and found that it is different from the URL or website address of the NEC.

The purported website carries a URL that reads https://nec rec.lb.sharpportal.site/#1688652114508.

However, the real website of NEC has https://www.necliberia.org/. as its URL:

To further distinguish the two URLs, we reviewed the job vacancy page of the NEC which reads:https://www.necliberia.org/view_vacancies.php. This URL varies from the fake link which carries https://nec rec.lb.sharpportal.site/#1688652114508.

Based on the above evidence, we conclude that the viral link claiming that NEC is currently running a recruitment program for 2023 is fake and misleading.
