Urey Calls on Supporters to Reject Unity Party ‘Collaborator Parties’

Kakata, Margibi County- Benoni Urey, the political leader of All Liberian Party (ALP), has called on his supporters to bully opposition parties including the ruling Unity Party.

He brands some opposition political parties as ‘government collaborators’ and should be shunned by electorates.

“All of them have fallen to the feet of this government for handouts; we have defended you and we will defend you until we die,” Urey told cheering supporters in Kakata during the weekend.

He slammed opposition parties for “conniving with the UP led government” and said it is the cause of the “continuous untold suffering of the masses”.

Unlike his party, the ALP political leader said those calling themselves oppositions are “mere jokers who are falling to the feet of the government”.

He said bullying and voted them out would be the best option, while cautioning voters to be conscious as they go to the polls on October 10.

He said the decisions voters will make on elections day would determine whether the country would retrogress or progress.

Despite calling for bullying of politicians, he said the ALP would in on way support any form of electoral violence. But he said bullying other oppositions associated with the ruling party is “a way for the people to express their anger at a corrupt regime”.

Said Urey: “They are coming again with stolen money and stolen vehicles but when you eat their money boo them, nothing wrong with you bullying the rogues”.

He further labeled some presidential candidates as unpatriotic because according to him, they’ve married non-Liberian women who are living abroad instead of Liberia.

He, however, failed to name these politicians.
